Commercial Structured Cabling & Network Infrastructure
Reliable Infrastructure Starts Behind the Walls
Your network is only as reliable as the infrastructure supporting it.
Interwest designs, installs, upgrades, and services commercial structured cabling systems throughout the Inland Northwest. From new construction and facility expansions to complete replacements of aging network infrastructure, we provide copper and fiber optic cabling designed for reliable performance today and the capacity to adapt as technology needs change.
Structured Cabling for New & Existing Facilities
A well-planned cabling system provides the physical foundation for the technology throughout your facility.
Interwest provides structured cabling and network infrastructure for new construction, renovations, expansions, and existing facilities, including:
Category 6 and Category 6A cabling
Fiber optic cabling and backbone infrastructure
Network equipment rooms and telecommunications spaces
Copper and fiber terminations

Upgrade Aging Network Infrastructure
Your Technology Has Changed. Has Your Cabling Kept Up?
Older network infrastructure can become a limitation as facilities add devices, increase bandwidth demands, adopt new technology, or simply outgrow systems installed years ago.
Interwest upgrades existing network infrastructure by replacing outdated copper cabling, installing new fiber optic backbones, improving equipment rooms and pathways, and expanding connectivity where it's needed.
For occupied facilities, upgrades can often be phased or scheduled around operations to reduce disruption.
Fiber Optic Infrastructure
Fiber provides the speed, capacity, and distance required for many modern network environments.
Interwest installs fiber optic backbone and distribution cabling for individual buildings, campuses, equipment rooms, and outside-plant applications. Our experience includes new fiber installations as well as additions and upgrades to existing infrastructure.
Experience With Complex Environments
Infrastructure work in an existing school, hospital, laboratory, government building, or operating commercial facility requires more than pulling cable.
Existing pathways may be limited. Other systems need to remain active. Work may need to be phased around occupants, operations, or other trades.
Interwest brings decades of experience coordinating communications infrastructure work in both new and operating facilities.
Selected Network Infrastructure Projects
Pullman High School
Multiple network equipment rooms, more than 2,400 horizontal data cables, 13,000 feet of fiber optic cabling, and 5,000 feet of innerduct pathway as part of a multi-year addition and renovation.
Carmichael Middle School
A school-wide infrastructure upgrade removing aging cabling and installing new copper and fiber optic infrastructure throughout the facility.
Whitworth University Music Hall
Category 6 and 6A structured cabling and new fiber optic infrastructure installed through constrained existing pathways while maintaining active network services during construction.
Service Doesn't End With Installation
Networks grow and facilities change. Interwest provides troubleshooting, repairs, additions, modifications, and infrastructure upgrades to help keep existing systems working and adapt them to changing needs.
